For Private Lessons
Private lessons range in cost from $35-$60 for a 50 minute lesson and $20 - $35 for a half hour lesson.
Refer Your Friends and Save
We offer a 10% discount on the current student's next month of lessons for each referred student signing up for two months of lessons.
Payment is due at the last lesson of each month to pay for the following month. Lesson times will be reserved when payment is received.
What You Should Bring to Your Lessons
Please make sure you always come to your lesson with a pencil and your music. You should invest in a small black binder that will be able to hold loose music and any handouts or notes. It is also good for a singer to always have water. You should bring water to your lessons. Finally, you should invest in a voice recorder of some sort. Portable tape recorders and digital voice recorders start at about $20.00.
For Classes
The cost of classes varies depending on the capacity of the class and its duration. Please visit our "Class Schedules" page for the most recent schedule, pricing and registration.
A non-refundable deposit of $30 per class is required to register for EACH class enrollment. The balance is due at the beginning of class. Unfortunately, there is no discount or reimbursement for missed classes or dropping out.
Classes begin promptly at the time they are scheduled for. Please be on time.
Terms and Conditions
Note: When registering, you must check a box that says you have read and agree to the "Terms and Conditions": a link to the refund policy is there on the checkout page. If you do not check the box, your registration will not go through. If you check the box, that means you are agreeing to the policy. If you have questions or concerns about the policy; please call for clarification before, not after, agreeing to it.
Privacy, Cancellation, Refund Policies
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY
We at Popovsky Performing Arts Studio are dedicated to protecting your privacy and personal information. We value your trust very highly, and we work to ensure that the personal information that you provide us is fully secured and protected.
We do not sell or give your personal information to 3rd parties. Unfortunately, despite all of our efforts, there is always a risk that third parties may unlawfully intercept transmissions. This reality is true of all Internet use. As a result, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit, and you transmit all information at your own risk.
CANCELLATIONS
Scheduling is, unfortunately, the most time consuming part of this business, and in fairness to everyone's schedule, we must strictly enforce this policy. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Private Lessons
- If you are unable to make an appointment, you must give 24 hours notice. If notice is not given, you will be billed the amount of the services scheduled. Notice can be by email containing your name, appointment time and a contact phone number or you may wish to call/leave a message at 717-517-8543. ** Please understand that we will NOT reschedule lessons when we are given lesson than 24 hour notice except in the case of an emergency **
- If you are sick, it does not mean you should not come to your lesson. As long as you are not contagious, there is still a lot to study when you are not 100% vocally. You will learn how to safely sing through sickness as well as translation, memorization techniques etc.
- If a class is cancelled, we will notify you at least 24 hours prior to the start of class, and you will receive a full refund or credit - your choice.
Refund Policy
- Refund eligibility is not based upon your reason for being unable to attend a class, even if that reason is beyond your control. It is based solely upon the timing of your refund request, as follows:
- If we receive your request at least one week prior to the first day of class, you will receive a full refund, less a $25 service fee.
- If we receive your request less than one week prior to the first day of class, you are not eligible for a refund.
- We do not give credits in lieu of refunds (that is, you cannot apply this payment to another class, whether taught by this teacher or another teacher) unless your class has been cancelled by us, in which case you have a choice between a refund or a credit.
- Refund requests must be made in writing and sent via email or snail mail. We do not accept refund requests over the phone (please respect this).
- Send requests via email to diane@popovskystudios.com. We must receive emailed requests AT LEAST one week prior to the start of class.
- Send requests via snail mail to: 5515 C Main Street, East Petersburg, PA 17520. Do not mail to a classroom address. Mailed requests must be postmarked at least 10 days prior to the start of class.
- Include your copy of the purchase confirmation and/or receipt that was emailed to you upon registration. If you don't have that, then include your full name, phone number, email address, name of your class and teacher, and exact amount of payment.
- If a class is cancelled, we will notify you at least 24 hours prior to the start of class, and you will receive a full refund or credit - your choice.
Cash Refunds
Cash refunds are not generally given. Refunds will be done in the form of a mail check from our office.
Check Refunds
All check purchases will be refunded 14 days after the original check has cleared; check refunds will be done in the form of a mail check from our office.
Returned Check Policy
If we receive a returned check from our bank for a payment you made, you will be invoiced for the original amount of the check plus a bank fees. The payment of the invoiced amount will be due within 30 days of invoice date. We will not re-submit the original check, nor will we accept another check for the re-payment. You will need to bring into the office or mail to us a money order for the amount invoiced.
